Fethiye Kültür Merkezi’nde saat 10.00’da Noter Huzurunda baÅŸlayan kura çekimine binlerce emekli katılınca ortaya izdiham görüntüleri çıktı. Emeklilerin tıklım tıkış halde salonda kura çekimini takip etti. Binlercesi ise dışarıda kaldı. İçeri giremeyen insanlar kura çekimini de takip edemedi. Bir vatandaşın kapıda durarak kazanan isimleri okuması ile kendilerine ev çıkıp çıkmadığını öğrenmeye çalıştılar.

TEKERLEKLİ ARABASIYLA MERDİVENLERİ ÇIKAMADI
Engelli olduÄŸu için tekerlekli sandalyesi ile merdivenleri çıkamayan ve soÄŸukta salonun giriÅŸinde beklemek zorunda kalan Semra Aydemir, tepkisini ÅŸu sözlerle dile getirdi: “Yukarı çıkamıyorum. Devlet bize bir hak tanımıyor, maÄŸdurum yani ÅŸuanda. Evim çıksa haberim olmayacak çıktığından, kim söyleyecek bana.”
Bu arada, kura sonuçlarının saat 17.00 itibariyle TOKÄ°’nin resmi sitesinden açıklanacağı bildirildi.

Başbakanlık Toplu Konut İdaresi (TOKİ) Başkanı Mehmet Ergün Turan, son 13 yılda toplamda 700 bin konut ürettiklerini belirterek, "Bu süreçte sektöre yaklaşık 120 milyar liralık kaynak aktardık" dedi.
Turan, İstanbul Ticaret Odası İnşaat ve Gayrimenkul İhtisas Komitesi'nce düzenlenen etkinlikte yaptığı konuşmada, TOKİ'nin sektördeki yerini ve projelerini anlattı.
Turan, ülkede düzenli konut stokunu artırmak için 8. CumhurbaÅŸkanı Turgut Özal'ın direktifleriyle 1984 yılında TOKÄ°'nin kurulduÄŸunu hatırlatarak, 2002 yılında 58'inci hükumetin "Planlı KentleÅŸme ve Konut SeferberliÄŸi" baÅŸlatarak TOKÄ°’yi de yeni bir vizyona kavuÅŸturduÄŸunu dile getirdi.
Son 13 yılda Türkiye'nin tamamında başlanan konut yapımı ile 700 bin rakamına ulaştıklarını ifade eden Turan, "Kamu kuruluşları ile yapılan protokoller çerçevesinde 8 bine yakın sosyal donatı üretimi sağlandı. Bunların içinde 266 hastane, 1003 okul, 18 stadyum, 68 bin kapasiteli yurt/pansiyon ve hizmet binaları gibi faaliyetimiz bulunmakta ve Türkiye'in 50 yıllık açığını kapatmaktadır. 539 cami, 619 ticaret merkezi inşa edilmiştir. Son 13 yılda TOKİ'nin yaptığı konutlarda oturan vatandaşımızın sayısı yaklaşık 3 milyondur" diye konuştu.
Turan, TOKİ'nin 13 yılda güncelleştirilmiş rakamlarla sektöre yaklaşık 120 milyar lira kaynak aktardığını söyleyen kaydederek, "Türkiye'de 2002-2015 döneminde 700 bini sosyal konut olmak üzere yaklaşık 7,5 milyon adet konut üretildi" ifadelerini kullandı.
"Öncelik dar gelirli vatandaşların"
TOKİ'nin kuruluş amacına uygun olarak sosyal konut ürettiğini dile getiren Turan, sözlerini şöyle tamamladı:
"Ürettiğimiz konutların yüzde 85'i sosyal konut niteliğindedir. Bu konutlar öncelikle dar ve orta gelir düzeyindeki vatandaşlarımıza verilmektedir. Bu grupların içerisinde engelliler, şehit aileleri ve maluller ile emekliler için ayrı bir kontenjan ayırmış durumdayız. 64. Hükümet programında da ifade edildiği gibi; emeklilerimizi uygun koşullarla ev sahibi yapacağız. Turizm çalışanları, gazeteciler gibi meslek örgütlerinin yanı sıra farklı şehirlerde organize sanayi bölgesi çalışanlarına dönük konutlar da üretilmektedir.

Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes told the New York Daily News that he won't try to talk to New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher when their teams meet on Saturday. He once again called Fisher a "snake" and said they'll cross paths when he retires:

“I don't talk to snakes,” Barnes told the Daily News.

“I know I got to keep my mouth shut because then he'll run and tell,” Barnes said. “So we're focused on playing that team (the Knicks). And when I'm retired, him and I will cross paths again.”

If you're unfamiliar with the ugly Barnes-Fisher saga, here's a rundown:

In early October, the two of them got into a fight at Barnes' estranged wife's home in Los Angeles. His estranged wife, Gloria Govan, was reportedly dating Fisher, and the New York Post quoted a source saying Barnes "went crazy." Barnes told ESPN, however, that he went over there because he was worried about his sons.

In November, Barnes said that Fisher should not have told the police and the NBA about the incident, as they are "two grown men who should have handled two grown men's business," via the Los Angeles Times. In late December, the league suspended Barnes for two games.

On New Year's Day, Barnes posted a long caption on an Instagram photo, where he called 2015 the "worst year of my life" and called Fisher a snake and a snitch, saying that the whole thing "played out like a bad reality show." Govan is a former reality star.

On Wednesday, Yahoo Sports reported that the NBPA filed a grievance on Barnes' behalf to get his suspension rescinded. On Thursday, Barnes said that the players association's appeal "means a lot," but he highly doubts he'll "be reimbursed a dime of that suspension money," via ESPN.

In his interview with the New York Daily News, Barnes said that he doesn't want the league to discipline Fisher, but he "always knew the NBA would come down hard on me." Over the last three months, Fisher has repeatedly declined to comment on the situation.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown from Sunday's AFC divisional playoff game against Denver while he recovers from a concussion.
Brown left last weekend's wild-card win over Cincinnati after taking a shot to the head from Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. Brown has not practiced all week while following the NFL's concussion protocol. The four-time Pro Bowler tied for the league lead with 136 receptions and was second in yards receiving with 1,834 this season.
Brown had made 55 consecutive starts for Pittsburgh.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger remains questionable for the showdown with the Broncos. Roethlisberger is dealing with a sprained right shoulder. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The team hopes he can throw during Friday's workout.

Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas absolutely, positively cannot be president! He was born in Canada, which makes him a natural born Canadian, not a natural born American. Sorry, Ted, you can’t be both. It’s impossible. Just as you can’t pick your parents, you also can’t pick your “natural born” citizenry.

Not a single U.S. president has ever been born outside the territory of the United States — an exclusion that is specifically designated in Article II of our Constitution and hits those like me pretty hard.

I came to this country at the age of 2, and like every kid in my class at Mae M. Walters Elementary in Hialeah, Fla., I wanted desperately to believe we all could grow up to be president someday.

We can’t. That’s the law. It says I, Rick Sanchez, cannot be president of the United States. We become “naturalized” citizens, which gives us all the rights of “natural born” Americans, except one.

I understand that law. I can live with it and am willing to play by the rules. Cruz cannot. He wants to make his own rules. His arguments are, however, neither sound nor worthy of exceptions.

Former HP chief executive Carly Fiorina, relegated to the undercard GOP presidential debate on Thursday night, came out swinging for Hillary Clinton. And it got very personal.
During the debate, Fiorina said pointedly that "unlike another woman in this race, I actually love spending time with my husband."
The comment was pretty transparently about Clinton, yet Fiorina was repeatedly asked in subsequent interviews: What did she actually mean by that? And what does she know about the Clinton marriage that everyone else doesn't?
To answer those questions, Fiorina has repeated that Hillary and Bill Clinton have "craved power their whole lives." But pressed on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Friday morning, Fiorina got far more blunt.
"If my husband had done some of the things Bill Clinton had done, I would have left him long ago," Fiorina said. "So, yes, I think it's all fair game."

Another gritty tale of outback survival – Australian apocalypse hit Mad Max: Fury Road – picked up 10 nominations to take it into second place. Meanwhile a third populist story about a man battling harsh nature and hostile adversaries - sci-fi yarn The Martian – came in third with 10.

The French carmaker confirmed the raids, saying that investigators wanted to check equipment at its factories.
Investors feared Renault was embroiled in cheating emissions tests, something Volkswagen admitted last year.
However, Renault stressed that tests have shown "no evidence" of devices designed to cheat emissions tests.
It said the fraud investigators were looking at the way Renault uses exhaust emissions technology, and it was co-operating fully with the probe.
The statement said that investigators "decided to carry out additional on-site and material investigations, in order to definitively confirm the first findings resulting from the analysis of the independent technical commission".
Investigators "went to the headquarters, the Renault Technical Centre in Lardy and the Technocentre in Guyancourt," Renault said.

The so-called Islamic State (IS) has said it was behind a series of explosions and gun attacks in the Indonesian capital Jakarta.
At least two civilians and five attackers died in the assaults, described as an attempt to mimic the deadly Paris attacks.
Security forces battled militants for hours in a major business and shopping district.
It follows warnings late last year that Islamists were planning a major attack.

IS released a statement online claiming the attacks, which it said were carried out by "soldiers of the Caliphate", targeting "citizens of the Crusader coalition" against the group.

He said that the Iranians informed the US that the sailors were safe and "will promptly be allowed to continue their journey".
The incident happened near Farsi Island after one of the ships encountered mechanical problems.
After the incident, US Secretary of State John Kerry immediately called Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to begin negotiations.
An unnamed official told the Associated Press that Mr Kerry "personally engaged with Zarif on this issue to try to get to this outcome".
Mr Kerry and Mr Zarif developed a personal relationship throughout three years of negotiating a nuclear deal.

An Indiana interstate was shut down in both directions Tuesday after a multi-vehicle crash left drivers trapped during a snowy morning commute.
Indiana State Police said the pileup happened on Interstate 74 near mile marker 168 in Dearborn County.
Initial reports indicate the crash involved nearly 30 semis and cars, authorities said. 
According to Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, first responders were working to free people that were trapped in their vehicles after the pileup. It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the crash.
A Winter Weather Advisory was in effect for the area until 7 p.m. Tuesday. Forecasts called for 1-3 inches of snow and wind gusts near 30 mph.

An estimated 2,000 far-right LEGIDA supporters have taken to the streets of Leipzig to protest against the New Year’s Eve attacks in Cologne.

Members of its sister-group, the anti-Islam PEGIDA movement, joined the march.

The acronym PEGIDA in German stands for patriots against the Islamisation of the western world. Local branches usually substitute the initial of their own town at the beginning.

Brandishing signs with expressions such as “Merkel, take your Muslims with you and get lost,” many chanted “Merkel needs to go,” the main slogan of the event.

A suspected member of the Islamic State (IS) group has killed 10 people, at least nine of them German tourists, in a suicide bomb attack in the Turkish city of Istanbul, officials say.
They say the Syrian national carried out the attack in the Sultanahmet district, near the famous Blue Mosque.
Fifteen people were wounded, many of them also German.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey was the "top target for all terrorist groups in the region".
His country, he added, was "fighting against all of them equally".
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu telephoned German Chancellor Angela Merkel to offer his condolences, the Anadolu news agency quoted his office as saying.
Mr Davutoglu later said: "We have determined that the perpetrator of the attack is a foreigner who is a member of Daesh (IS)."
He vowed to find and punish those linked to the bomber and pledged to continue the fight against IS militants.
Turkey's Deputy PM Numan Kurtulmus said earlier: "It has been identified that the suicide bomber is Syrian and his connections are being investigated."
The suspect was said to have been born in 1988 and was identified from body parts.
Mr Kurtulmus said the suspect was not on Turkey's militant watch-list and was believed to have recently crossed into Turkey from Syria.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has not ruled out granting political asylum to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a long-time ally.
When asked by a German magazine if he would shelter Mr Assad, he said it was premature to discuss the issue.

He said the aim in Syria would be to work towards a new constitution: "It is a complicated process.

Mr Putin said he did not want to see a scenario like that in Libya or Iraq to be repeated in Syria.
"In my view, no effort should be spared in strengthening legitimate governments in the region's countries," he said. "That also applies to Syria."
Mr Putin spoke in the second half of an interview with German newspaper Bild, which was published in English by the Kremlin on 12 January.

.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov agreed Monday "to stay in close touch, and to look for an opportunity to meet, in the days ahead", a spokesperson has said.
The top diplomats last met in December during UN-endorsed International Syria Support Group (ISSG) talks where member states agreed on a timetable for a political transition in Syria.
"They discussed a range of issues, including the Syria political process, the fight against Daesh, Middle East regional issues, Ukraine, North Korea’s recent nuclear test, as well as the U.S.-Russia bilateral relationship,"
State Department spokesperson John Kirby said in a written statement.
"We need full access. And that’s what we agreed on in the ISSG meeting in New York and the UN Security Council," Kerry said, according to State Department statement.
"And we’re raising it with all parties right now. We’re pressing for it very hard; it has to happen," he added.
The next ISSG negotiations will take place Jan. 25 in Geneva.
Kerry also met Monday with King Abdullah II of Jordan and was asked about how to ensure regular humanitarian access to towns like Madaya, Syria, where humanitarian assistance has been blocked, resulting in at least 23 deaths from starvation.

At least ten dead, several wounded in blast in city center area home to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia around Sultanahmet square in Istanbul

Ten people were killed in a blast at Istanbul’s Sultanahmet tourist district Tuesday morning, local officials said.
The provincial governor’s office reported 15 wounded in an explosion in the area around Sultanahmet Square at 10.20 a.m. local time (08.20 GMT). The square lies between two of Istanbul’s most popular tourist attractions, the Sultan Ahmet Camii (Blue Mosque) and Ayasofya (Hagia Sofia).
Early speculation suggested a suicide bomb had been detonated although there was no official confirmation.
Shop owner Sener Ozdemir, 45, said he heard the blast. “I’ve never heard such a loud explosion in my life,” he told Anadolu Agency. “It was very violent. Just after the incident I saw shocked tourists falling to the ground.”
Police cordoned off the square and closed down the local tram service while nearby attractions also closed.
The area, on the European side of Istanbul, is home to the city’s most popular tourist sites and contains hundreds of hotels and restaurants. The square, which is dotted with gardens, fountains and benches, is usually thronged with tourists throughout the day.
Turkey has faced recent attacks from the far-left groups and the Daesh terrorist organization as well as a renewed terror campaign by terrorist organization PKK in the southeast.

Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders got another boost from the party’s left wing on Tuesday, picking up the endorsement of MoveOn.org Political Action, a nationwide grass-roots group that pledged to mobilize on Sanders's behalf.
The group said its backing followed a membership vote in which Sanders was the favorite of nearly 79 percent of the more than 340,000 people who cast votes. Hillary Clinton received about 15 percent, and former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley was the choice of about 1 percent.
“This is a massive vote in favor of Bernie Sanders, showing that grass-roots progressives across the country are excited and inspired by his message and track record of standing up to big money and corporate interests to reclaim our democracy for the American people,” said the group’s executive director, Ilya Sheyman.

El pádel argentino está de luto. El joven Elías Estrella, número 1 de la Argentina, murió en un accidente de tránsito cuando se dirigía hacia el aeropuerto de Ezeiza para viajar y participar en un torneo de exhibición.

Manchester United will be boosted by the return of a few injured players, but will be unable to field German Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger after he picked up a knee problem. The Newcastle United Captain will also miss out on this game.

The injury crisis that had afflicted the Red Devils last month seems to be over as they now have the majority of their players available for selection. The latest news is that winger Jesse Lingaard is now fit to play, but will probably start on the bench at St. James’ Park as he makes his return to the side after injury.
There are also concerns regarding the fitness of the recently recalled Adnan Januzaj.
The young attacking midfielder was initially drafted into the Man United under-21 side by Louis van Gaal to bring the Belgian back up to speed having not gotten much gametime at Borussia Dortmund.
Januzaj had been due to make the squad to face Reading.
“We have reconsidered and we think we have to build him up for the game and not risk too much by putting him in a game at once,” van Gaal said.
Defensive trio Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia are still long-term absentees, but there is some encouraging news.
“Schneiderlin is not injured but he’s in the red zone and had an overload,” the Dutchman revealed.
“In the Christmas period, he played every game and we have to take care of that.”
